What our syllabus covers
These mini courses are two hours in duration, packed with interesting facts and practical skills about babies and children up to the age of puberty.
No previous experience or knowledge is required to attend this course.
Is there an exam?
No, these sessions are designed to give you a basic First Aid knowledge, these sessions are not a qualification

Common Childhood Illnesses Course 3
This session will assist you to recognise major illness in children and babies:
Meningitis
Asthma
Seizure
Febrile Convulsion
Croup
Measles and Chicken pox
Epiglottitis
Anaphylaxis (allergic reaction)
Basic Lifesupport Course 1
This session will teach you to deal with life threatening issues:
Managing Choking
Managing an unresponsive child or baby
Recovery Position
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Injuries and Accidents in the Home Course 2
This session will teach you how you can help a child or baby following a range of common accidents and injuries:
Head Injury
Eye injuries
Wounds and cuts
Poisoning
Burns and scalds
Drowning
Electric Shock
Nose bleeds
